Blackish’s Anthony Anderson Hosts The CLIO Key Art Awards 2015

The Clio Key Art Awards is named for the Greek goddess Clio, the mythological muse known as “the proclaimer, glorifier and celebrator of history, great deeds and accomplishments. Born in 1971, Clio Key Art Awards fully became a Clios property in 2015, and with partner The Hollywood Reporter continues expanding its reach — across movies, TV and gaming — while staying true to its film-industry origins. 

The 2015 Clio Key Art Awards was hosted by this year’s winner of the NAACP Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series Anthony Anderson for his work in ABC’s Black-ish. The actor, producer, comedian multihyphenate entertained the crowd of industry leaders representing Warner Brothers, FX Networks, Microsoft Studios and Universal Pictures to name a few.

The award ceremony celebrated the crew and agencies behind some of the world’s most intriguing multimedia campaigns. The first award of the night, went to BLT Communications for their work on the illustrations from the 2015 film Inherent Vice. The audience reacted with widespread applause. A reaction typical of the highly interconnected industry where collaboration between agencies is a norm and a necessity.

The award categories addressed were: games, home entertainment, television/streaming, theatrical, print, packaging, out of home displays (i.e., billboards, art installations, et) and integrated, engagement/experiential, display, digital, audio visual technique and many more. The art and campaigns considered have been seen by audiences in everything from the film Nightcrawler’s film teaser to packaging for the Ascension Rocket Ship Premium and heard in movies and television ranging from Mad Max: Fury Road to Game of Thrones.

This years Clio Key Art Awards saw a 43 percent rise in the number of submissions, numbering several thousands. The awards were judged by a panel of esteemed jurors from agencies across the United States.
