Christine: “One can want to be successful all of their lives. They can daydream and talk about it forever. But that does not mean it is going to happen. You must do whatever it takes to make it happen.�

 

Where She’s From: Lovely 20-year-old model Christine Bax is the youngest of five children.

She was born in New Orleans, and raised in Richmond, Texas, about 30 miles outside of Sugarland. “I learned independence, self-respect, and self-sacrifice from my parents,� she says. Her Zodiac sign is Aries.

“With the watchful guidance of my older siblings and eyes of my parents, at an early age I developed a strong sense of morality,� Christine tells The Black Star News. “I never compromise on my opinion or integrity.�

She says her creative influences are Angela Bassett, Aaliyah, Julia Roberts and Beyonce. She has already performed as a model, a ballerina, a musician, an actress and even script writer. “I have a vigorous schedule and insatiable drive to succeed,� she says, with her winning smile.

Where She’s At: Christine has always been interested in geology and history. She plans to use her degree to pursue a hobby in archaeology. “I launched my modeling career with my very first actual photo shoot in January 2005, and I’ve had so much experience since then—that first photo shoot opened more doors than I imagined it could,â€? she adds.

Hard work, confidence, and prayer, helps her deal with the industry’s challenges. “I always pray to God and ask him for his strength and guidance, and I ask him to help me handle my day-to-day challenges the same way he would handle them if he were in my shoes,� she says.

Where She’s Heading: Christine had been focusing on her acting put she’s now putting more energy into modeling as well.

Her recent accomplishments include a music video and a Houston T.V. show that she co-hosts called “Alternative Scream.â€? She cautions all aspiring models and actors to always remember: “Intelligence overpowers beauty—if one doesn’t have much of a personality or common sense, their looks will only get them so far.â€?

This is how Christine prepares when she’s ready to step out: “Makeup, I love Wet n’ Wild, Mac, Estee Lauder, Yves St. Laurent, Shisheido, Revlon, Clinique, Vanity Fair and Bobbi Brown. For lotions anything that smells good. Mostly stuff with shea or cocoa butter in it. For perfume, I currently use Heavenly, part of the Dream Angels line of fragrance at Victoria’s Secret. Polo Sport has always been one of my favorites. For clothing, anything that is cute that fits me properly. For shoes, Coach, Doc Marten, Nine West, Steve Madden, DC, Thomas, Chinese Laundry, Antonio Melani, and Gianni Bini.â€?

Christine’s Secrets Of Success: “Success is only achieved by those who live it. One can want to be successful all of their lives. They can daydream and talk about it forever. Christine’s Favorite Cars: “BMW m5, m3, and 3 series, Corvette, the Bentley coupe, Mercedes Compressor (hatchback), VW Golf, the newly remodeled Mustangs, Scion TC, Infiniti G35. I like these cars because they’re sporty, comfortable, and I don’t have to stuff a buncha people in the backseat.â€?
