Where She’s From:
LaRayia Gaston, is an East Coast-bred city girl, who spent a lot of her youth discovering cities such as New York and Philadelphia. She also lived in Maryland.

Gaston’s family moved across the United States to Arizona, where she graduated from High School. Shortly after her 18th birthday, Gaston moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue her dreams in the entertainment industry.

“The most valuable lesson my family taught me is to embrace the fact that I have no limitations,” Gaston says. “I learned that God recognizes hard work and sacrifice and that failure is not an option.”

Gaston’s love of art landed her at Tucson High Magnet School For Performing Arts. “I started with acting. I did my first commercial at eight years old and I’ve been in theater since I was 12,” she adds. “I’m continually moving forward. I’m steadily climbing up
the ladder. I want to master all the talents I have been blessed with.”

Where She’s At:
Gaston’s entrepreneurial drive recently led to the launch of a clothing line named Shegi with Mrs. G and Angela Marie. “I’m super excited,” she says, of her business endeavor. “Three designers with one huge vision. Amazing.”

“It’s just as important to be intelligent as well as beautiful,” Gaston says. “I take pride in all that I know. Knowledge is power. Beauty is just the icing on the cake.”

So how does this beautiful young model prepare to step out? “Shegi clothing is my favorite,” Gaston says, revealing her bias. “Jackets and baby doll dresses to die for. Make up, I’m of course a M.A.C addict. I always carry eye shadow and studio fix and I’m ready for the world. My everyday favorite perfume is Lucky Brand for day time and DKNY delicious at night.”
