Where She’s From: Sarah Dolli was born in Baltimore, Maryland. “My dad is from Florida so my family often traveled there and I was raised in both Baltimore and the country side of Leesburg, Florida,” she tells The Black Star News. “The valuable thing that my parents have taught me over the years is that you have to do what you must so that you can do what you want.”

Where She’s At: This beautiful young model is a senior at Morgan State University who graduates in May 2008. She has a deep passion for the performing arts which led her to attend MSU as a Theatre major. “I love all aspects of the theatre and have experienced everything from performing as an actor on stage to managing the stage as a stage manager behind the scenes and the many roles in-between,” she explains.

“I like a good challenge because I love the feeling of achievement and in the performing arts there is always something to accomplish. However, modeling is my first love and I first started to model at the age of four. I was taught by my mother who taught me once you step onto the runway you never step off. Now I have a 24-7 fierce walk that people notice and aren’t shy to compliment me on.”

After she earns her B.A. degree, Sarah will use that solid foundation to launch her career full force. “I am 5’9” and the runways of Paris, Milan, and London have my name written all over them,” says the confident young lady. “I am also going to make it to the silver screen here in the states, God says claim it so it’s mines,” she adds with a smile.

“It’s challenging being a Black woman trying to make a positive name for herself in the entertainment industry. Many times I have attended casting calls or go-sees and an African American was not the intended idea of beauty or talent,” she notes. “No one can deprive me of my dreams so with determination and a positive outlook I keep it moving to the next opportunity and when I get a green light I go one hundred percent.”

“When you’re intelligent and beautiful you are marketable; without intelligence very few people will want to work with you. Even though beauty can help you get to the top, brainpower is what will keep you there,” Sarah says.

So how does Sarah prepare to step outside? “I love heels, it’s a rare sight for me to be caught in anything else. I usually wear whatever looks nice whether it is a brand name or not, I will make it look awesome. I use Dove products to cleanse and moisturize my skin; it leaves me feeling soft and clean. I love Makeup by Misha cosmetics, and Mac makeup they’re the only cosmetics that has never irritated my skin.”
