Rep. Charles Rangel Hosts Fahrenheit 9/11 at Apollo Theater
Congressman Charles B. Rangel (D-New York) recently hosted a private screening of Academy-Award winning director Michael Moore's documentary film "Fahrenheit 9/11" at Harlem's famed Apollo Theater. Over 1,500 people, including Miramax Film's CEO Harvey Weinstein, New York State Assemblyman Keith L. Wright and LMR Productions Chairman Lloyd Williams were among the attendees. In hosting the event Congressman Rangel, a decorated Korean War veteran, said he wanted to give the people of Harlem the opportunity to visualize for themselves firsthand how the government is handling the war on Terrorism and the war in Iraq.
