African Queen: Sista Clarisse

Where She’s From: Sista Clarisse, a musician, is Libra and looks like an African Queen.
She was born in Brazzaville, Congo, and raised in France. “The most important thing I learned from my parents is my taste for reading and writing,� she tells The Black Star News.

She first started her education in Congo. “After that, we traveled so much that I went in schools in the South East, then in the Center of France, then North East and I finished my education in Paris when I started to sing,� she says.

She says her aspirations can be summed up this way: “Life in general! Each day is a challenge and I face it just by waking up each morning!� She also notes, “I am not proud of something particularly, but proud of everything I’ve done until now because I always do what I love and want to do.�

When Sista Clarisse gets ready to step out, she prefers “Maje�, “Les petites� and African clothes. She refrains from wearing any makeup unless it’s for a photo shoot and shows.

For perfume she prefers “Flower by Kenzo�, “eau by Kenzo�, “Sicilli by Dolce & Gabana� and “White musk by Body Shop�. She only wears African Jewelry. As for shoes, give her “Chie Mihara� and “Repetto�.
