Delmar told BSN the secret to his success as a DJ is that he listens to the people and works hard to give them what they want. And that is just what he did at the Target First Saturdays 70s Party at The Brooklyn Museum on April 1st. Delmar shared with me that about 8,000 people attended and that The Brooklyn Museum informed him that it was the largest attendance in the month of April.

If you don’t know about myspace.com, it’s time you get with the program.  That is where I had to good fortune to meet amazing DJ Delmar Browne, who rocked the house with his 70s Classic Disco, Funk & Soul party at Target First Saturdays at The Brooklyn Museum on April 1st.

I mean he had us all in this state of rapture, where all was well with the world as he spun all our favorites from the 70s’ Paradise Garage, Better Days, Club Ecstasy. Those of you who are lucky enough to know where I’m comin’ from, I urge you to keep your eyes open for Delmar Browne’s parties, wherever they may pop up next.

The party was off the chain, Brothers and Sisters.  But what made it such an amazing event is that within all of the eclecticism, we all became one.  Just one large mass of happy energy – vibing to Delmar Browne as he spun us deeper and deeper into a state of euphoria.

I was able to catch up with Delmar.  I was touched by his cool yet enthusiastic nature. Delmar told BSN the secret to his success as a DJ is that he listens to the people and works hard to give them what they want. Delmar’s tenure in the entertainment world is well noted and goes back to 1976.  Also among his many accomplishments is his blazing thru WKTU Studio 54 Clubhouse, Jammin 105.1 NYC, and much more. Delmar is in the process of making a double cd set to recapture the event.

In essence, for that moment in time, Delmar Browne brought World Peace to The Brooklyn Museum.  Got one question for you, Delmar – When’s the next one?
