Actress and Singer Such: “I’ve been on this road to discovering who I am as a Black woman and becoming someone who is a little more comfortable in her skin. Soul-singer, community activist, philanthropist, and actress Such, recently released her third studio album, Wide Nose, Full Lips.

A special ode to her people, Such embodies the true essence of a Black woman on this project. We hear that and more on the album, especially with her lead single “Before Dark,” a coming of age peace (pun intended) in which Such embraces sexuality and self-love. The hit single, which premiered on BET Her, charted top 40 on the Urban AC Charts.

“I’ve been on this road to discovering who I am as a Black woman and becoming someone who is a little more comfortable in her skin,” said Such. “This album is about embracing our beauty as Black people, being fully confident in our sensuality as Black women, and no longer struggling to find comfort in our own skin.”

As Such continues to celebrate the release of her album, she has something else to be excited about as Wide Nose, Full Lips charted #25 on the Billboard Top R&B Charts! All in all, fans will see the album is an unapologetic love letter to blackness and this can especially be seen on “Melanin,” another single off the album that really celebrates blackness in all of its glory featuring popular spoken word artist Kerrie Joy. Other amazing musicians on the album include Monique Brooks-Roberts who arranged and recorded strings.

To keep the momentum going, Such is gearing up for her first ever City Winery performance on Tuesday, September 24 and an intimate live session at Bedford Manor in Brooklyn, NY on Thursday, September 26, in which she will jet off to the UK right after.
