Acclaimed entertainer Bill Bellamy left an audience of more than 1,000 guests in hysterics, entertaining some well known people on the New York scene including recording artists Amerie and Marc Dorsey, hip hop star Mr. Cheeks, America’s Top Model contestant Camille McDonald, and actor Keith David, to name a few, at the Apollo Theater on September 16.

Serving up an exceptional brand of humor to New York's progressive African American professionals, Bellamy's vividly displayed comedic antics poked fun at the likes of Chris Tucker and his rise to fame, R. Kelly and his latest round of criminal charges, the implications of the Kobe Bryant trial, as well as today's dating trends versus "old school love." Bellamy followed two talented opening acts; comedian Drew Fraser and former Last Comic Standing contestant Marina Franklin.

Bellamy, actor and comedian who has to his credit starring roles in the movies "The Brothers", "Love Jones" and "How to Be a Player", as well as the FOX series "Fastlane", and who will star in the upcoming theatrical release, "Getting Played" (with Vivica A. Fox and Carmen Electra), returns after a long hiatus to the stand-up stage with the “B&B Presents Bill Bellamy for A Night of Elegance tour.

“The B&B Presents Bill Bellamy For a Night of Elegance tourâ€? included a pre- and post-show reception featuring specialty cocktails made with B&B Cognac Liqueur.  B&B also designated a signature cocktail "The Elegant Thing" in recognition of Bill Bellamy's signature style. During the post-reception, Bellamy mingled with Harlem's socialites, including TV personality and author Ian Smith, restaurateur Allen West, and publisher of UPTOWN magazine Leonard Burnett, Jr.

"With a stellar performance, Bill Bellamy displayed an ideal combination of charisma, intellect and understated style to perfectly exemplify what The B&B Society is all about,"  said Joseph Tolton, managing director of Blur Advertising, B&B's agency of record.

B&B Cognac Liqueur is the result of a clever blend that marries the vigor of old cognac with the subtle bouquet of the 27 plants and spices in Benedictine. For more information:  www.bnbsociety.com
