[Music: Karizz Interview]

Manchild Entertainment's R&B/Soul recording artist Karriz (pronounced "kuh-riz"), was born in Bainbridge, GA and raised in South Florida, in the Hollywood/Hallandale area. “My parents taught me to love and to be honest and first and foremost, love the Lord,” he tells The Black Star News.

Karizz attended school in Florida and I started doing talent shows as a teen.  “In 1998 I decided to launch my professional singing career,” he adds.

If you miss that "gut wrenching - heart tugging" kind of soul music heard in songs like Al Green's "Lets Stay Together" and Luther Ingram's "If Loving You Is Wrong," then Karizz is a definite addition for your IPOD.

Karizz’s first independent radio single  "Pretty Eyez" has been getting spins on various Urban radio stations in the South and Midwest regions this year and the music video is playing in various US markets and over 40 countries via Turner Music Television, CoolTV. The video is scheduled to air on BET J Soul Sessions this Fall. "You Should Be Here,” the next single, launches on a larger scale for 2008.

Karizz is definitely getting ready to blow up. “Labels take notice if you're looking for the next soulful artist to add to your roster,” he declares. This talented artist has seen all the challenges. “Being homeless at one point in my life and not having any place to stay, overcoming that by believing in God and believing in the gift he gave me -to sing,” he recalls to The Black Star. This multi-talent, in addition to singing and modeling, has also run his own business.

And when he steps out, it’s always in style. “Gucci, Joseph Abboud, Cole Haan clothing and shoes, Sean John apparel, Phat Farm, and as far as Colognes I like Burberry and Armani,” he says. “But in the near future I hope to have my own brand to wear-Karizz,” he adds, with a confident smile.

“I thank God for the gift of voice he has given me and through him allowing the people to have a smile upon their faces; at the end of the day that makes me feel good,” Karizz notes.

Karizz’s Words Of Wisdom: “Believe in God, yourself and other positive people he may put in your life to help you along the way.”

Karizz’s Secrets Of Success: "PHG; always give praise; always stay humbled; and always stay on your grind. Even when you do get the big record deal.”
