The truly ravishing firecracker event left the audience in awe once again as Mega Hip Hop and R&B celebrities united at Hot 97’s summer Jam concert. Headliners Jamie Fox, Sean Paul, Dipset, Dem Franchize Boyz, Chris Brown, TI, Mary J Blige, and Busta Rhymes, one by one lit the stage in flames.

Dem Franchize Boyz carelessly tossed money into the stadium while performing “Lean Wit it.” Producer/lyricist Jermaine Dupri was in the house. Unexpectedly Miss N-A-S-T-Y herself, Janet Jackson, appeared wearing a creased earth tone colored pant and a sexy sophisticated mid drift showing off her regained sleek torso. She stood next to her ace boon Dupri waving gracefully waving.

Adding to the celebrity mystic, music sensation Mariah Carey brought sexy to a new level, sporting a more toned physique under a jean mini and tropical tangerine top. Her golden highlights in sync framed her glowing smile. The Brat wearing her hair in two afro puffs appeared out of nowhere performing “I Think They Like Me.” The ladies man himself, Jamie Foxx with his winning smile charismatically captivated the crowd with “Unpredictable” and other favorites.

Foxx threw a curve ball when he called L.L Cool J to the stage to perform some classics. R&B Queen of Hip Hop Mary J Blige let “the girls” play  in a cheetah print halter with gold accents as she sang a few of the crowds favorites including  “Be Without You.” With a fatigue fitted hat and  tan army pant R&B artist Chris Brown followed up with songs “To” and “Gimme That.”

Hyping the crowd Busta Rhymes performed “Touch it” and “I Love My Chick.” Glass shattering cheers erupted as Hip Hop veterans slick Rick and Big Daddy Kane stole the spotlight. The stadium rocked out to Knock ’Em Out the Box with Slick Rick as he wore his signature heap of gold and diamond rope chains joining Busta as the crowd sang in unison “A children’s Story.” Bringing us back to the basics of Hip Hop 101, the legendary Big Daddy Kane wore a tilted Kango and a single gold rope.

He reminded all of what hip hop is missing—keeping the ladies drooling Kane blew out the speakers with “Aint No Half Steppin’.” The night closed with some of New York’s finest MC’s. Dipset’s Juelz Santana, Cam’ Ron, and Max B. The audience stood on their chairs chanting “Dipset.” Max set it off rocking his hair in a smooth ponytail and tinted oversized shades as the audience bumped to “G’s up Hoes Down.” Cam’ Ron performed “touch it or not” and “wet wipes” fueling the fire.  Juelz, wearing his signature bandana and stud performed hit song “There It Go” as the crowd whistled along.
