The Universal Zulu Nation was founded in 1973 in the Bronx, New York. It was Afrika Bambaataa’s idea to use music to spread the message of the UZN. He Knew that music is universal and crosses all barriers. So with the birth of hiphop [which started in the Bronx, New York City, USA] Bambaataa and members of the Zulu Nation started to travel throughout the world to spread hiphop culture and uplift communities everywhere.

The Universal Zulu Nation is a music, community service and arts organization founded in the USA by Afrika Bambaataa. The organization has hundreds of chapters throughout the world, and all members believe in freedom, justice, equality, knowledge, wisdom and understanding. Anyone who’s in touch with the NYC underground scene is hip to ELEVEN.  Anyone adept in the independent label game knows about “Ikke Entertainment” (IE).  For those who may not know, let me introduce you to the one and only…

*ELEVEN (CEO) has been on “the grind” since 1998.  Altogether, his 3 albums sold over 7,000 copies “out the trunk” — not to mention the mixed cds he has turned out, which include DJs S&S, Knuckles, Xlucsive, Capone and Supa C.

In 2002, ELEVEN took his knowledge and experience of the game and formed an independent record label called IKKE ENTERTAINMENT.  On the 4th of July in 2005, ELEVEN released his new album entitled, “Veteran’s Day”.  The album includes hot singles such as “Big Balla”, “Wat u Like”, feat. G, and “Let’s Go” feat. Dana Dane, which is also featured on the NBA music rasta.

ELEVEN has worked with Hip-hop & R&B veteran producers such as Mark “Boogie” Brown, Easy Mo Bee (Bad Boy), Grammy nominated DJ 3D, Sam Saver (Busta Rhymes, Beastie Boys, 3rd Bass, etc.), and up-and-coming producer, Winard Brock, just to name a few.  Adding to his resume are the several performances: Mr. Cheeks’ album release @ Cheetahs, Universal Records showcase, Speed, Joe’s Pub and the Hammerstein Ballroom (Manhattan Center).

ELEVEN has created a buzz for himself on the college as well as the underground circuit.  He featured with Levi on “The Revolution Rap Tour” in NY, NJ, OH in the Spring of 2005.
