OAS TO DISCUSS POLITICAL CRISIS IN VENEZUELA AND NICARAGUA THIS WEDNESDAY

Permanent Council of the OAS will discuss the crisis in Venezuela and its embattled President Nicholas Maduro, above, as well as the situation in Nicaragua.

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, August 28 at 10:00 EDT (14:00 GMT) in Simon Bolívar Hall at OAS headquarters in Washington, D.C., to analyze the “political and social crisis in Nicaragua” and to discuss a “Resolution on the Human Rights Situation in Venezuela,” among other topics.

The meeting will be broadcast live – with interpretation in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese- on the OAS Website and the OAS Facebook page.
