Mama Alice

The simple things that brought you pleasure, A box of dairy milk chocolate and a bottle of Black Tower, The memory of you engulfs my heart in warm glow

[Poem For A Mother]

Oh, mother, mother, mother

Much missed mother

How I long for thee

On this beautiful Mother’s Day

Illuminated skies

Bright and sunny

Though totally eclipsed by the memory of your beauty

Easy on the eye

Like a bunch of daffodils

Oh, mother, mother, mother

How I remember thee

The truth that is you

Your love and kindness

Your laughter

That I strain to hear beyond Heavens gate

The simple things that brought you pleasure

A box of dairy milk chocolate and a bottle of Black Tower

The memory of you engulfs my heart in warm glow

Oh, mother, mother, mother

With the enviable nature

Gentle and patient

Admirable mother of mine

I light a candle in your name Mama Alice

A candle in remembrance

I light a candle for the motherless

It was never goodbye, mother of mine

Heaven delights in the beauty of you

Till we meet again

Happy Mother’s Day To All Mothers!
