[Global: Libya Protest]

This Friday, March 25, 2011 at 6:30 PM, at Sistas’ Place, 456 Nostrand Ave., Bklyn,
The December 12th Movement will hold a Pan-African Forum to examine the role of the
United States and Western European in carrying out their aims to control Libyan oil;
plant military operations on the ground in Africa and crush any resistance to
Western foreign policy in Africa.

The December 12th Movement International Secretariat is holding a forum to denounce
the racist and neo-colonial agression of the United States and Western Europe in the
invasion of Libya.

The no-fly zone and authorization to use “all necessary means” of military action
against Libya exposes the racist nature of the West’s domination of international
relations. The African Union (AU) is on record as against intervention in Libya and recently
denounced the military actions of the “no fly zone”. In spite of the will of
54 countries on the African continent the West pushed through military
action. This only dramatizes the fact that Africa’s voice is no where to be found as
a permanent representative on the United Nations Security Council.

The international community can be forced to make decisions regarding
Africa without there being an African voice. It is important to note that the
Arab League cannot speak for Africa; even in the league only 11 of 22 countries
voted for intervention, with Algeria and Syria voting no.

This situation is intolerable as regards the ability of Africa and Africans
worldwide to defend their own sovereignty.
