Cutting for a Cure is back to host its 2014 48-Hour Health Fair and Haircutting Marathon at Denny Moe’s Superstar Barbershop in Harlem.

Beginning 10AM on July 11th to 10AM on July 13th, twelve Celebrity Barbers will cut hair for 48 hours straight raising funds towards the prevention of deadly diseases affecting underserved minority communities with a special focus on Black men.

Led by Founder Dennis “Denny Moe” Mitchell, Cutting for a Cure aims to provide people with healthcare resources, guidance and the information necessary to live longer, healthier lives. Free medical screenings for illnesses including diabetes, high blood pressure, prostate cancer, HIV/AIDS and more are available onsite to anyone who attends. In addition, this year’s theme is “Renew You – Mind, Body and Spirit” emphasizing not only the importance of physical health, but also mental, and spiritual well-being particularly in communities of color.

This FREE event is designed for the entire family. Along with free medical screenings, there will be educational panels, live entertainment, celebrity guests and special events. This year’s live Celebrity Summer Stage is hosted by Toni Belafonte actress and CEO of COPETV™ featuring a hot lineup of diverse artists including Polly A, Jessica Betts, Brianna Collette, Ohene Cornelius, Felix Ramos, Raye 6, Anthony Wayne and more. Co-hosting this event is Marsha R. Bonner, Motivational Speaker, Social Activist and Founder of the H.U.G.S Movement – “Helping Us Grow Spiritually.”
