Comment: Do you know the mission of 100 Black Men? There are 110 chapters and 10,000 members. Look all of them up, and follow them. Real men are giving real time. Hasheem Bason you should be ashamed of yourself, the 100 is a volunteer organization mentoring over 100,000 youth annually. Many initiatives have started because of the work of the 100. Comment: it is to talk about what some organization is not doing, why don't you join and spearhead a committee. If you google organization you can see what they are doing, you gotta be kidding, how much time are you giving to our youth. Talk is cheap!

Comment: I would like to put the question forth, what has 100 Black Men really done but be self promoting? After having numerous dealings with them around issues of racism and attacks against black male youth and low income blacks only for them to side with the racist for photo opts. Has anyone looked in details at their supposely good works? Does these so-called deeds help the underserved or the Status Quo or their organizations members and friends? New blood has been injected into the leadership of 100 Black Men of Long Island, Inc., with the election of new board members.
The new members of the Board were elected June 2009.
100 Black Men of Long Island, Inc., was established in 1974 and incorporated the same year as a non-profit organization. The purpose of the organization is to improve the quality of life in Nassau-Suffolk Counties.
The organization supports Four For the Future; Mentoring, Education, Health & Wellness and Economic Development. The membership of OHBMLI is composed of men who demonstrate excellence in a broad range of professional endeavors.
The Headquarters of 100 Black Men of Long Island, Inc. is located at 9 Centre Street, Hempstead, New York 11550.
