According to the National Coalition on Healthcare (NCHC), there are 47 million Americans with no health insurance.

For those people, paying their own insurance could cost them what seems like a mortgage payment each month. Only around seven percent of those unemployed can actually afford the payments required to continue COBRA—the group insurance plan offered through their former employer.

Considering that the average unemployment check is around $1,100 per month, it’s easy to see why an average family can’t afford the $700-a-month premium to continue coverage. Now there’s a group changing the way healthcare is handled in this country. At a fraction of the cost, it’s no wonder people are welcoming the solution.

“Right now, fixing the healthcare problem is a hot topic, especially in light of the upcoming presidential election,” explains Beverly Winter, president of Remedy Healthcare (https://remedyhealthcare.net), a new medical fee-for-service company. “But universal healthcare is not the way to go, as so many suggest.”

Remedy Healthcare has created a system where everybody gets the same plan for the same premium. The plan is $100 for each adult and $50 for each child per month. The philosophy at Remedy Healthcare is that early detection and annual exams will help defray the medical costs later. The plan also differs from traditional ones in that patients don’t need referrals or approvals, and roughly 99 percent of all pre-existing conditions are accepted.

“Doctor’s love our new plan because it gives them a chance to be doctors again,” Winter adds. “They get paid better on all procedures for which they are receiving payment from anyone right now. This is the affordable solution that people have been waiting for. Now those debating in the election campaigns can start talking about something else.”
