Carver Bank Entrepreneur Seminars

Carver Federal Savings Bank, the nation’s largest African American and Caribbean American owned and operated bank, will present its second round of workshops for its Entrepreneurial Series entitled, “As Powerful As You Want To Be,� this week.

The workshops are facilitated by award winning communications strategist Karen Taylor Bass of Taylor Made Media LLC. The second series of workshops will begin Thursday, May 11, 2006 from 6pm-7pm, at 158-45 Archer Avenue, Jamaica, NY. For Reservations email [email protected]. The three part interactive workshop “As Powerful As You Want To Be!â€? targeted to entrepreneurs, small businesses, community groups and individuals will focus on essential public relations techniques, quality messaging and self-promotion. Each workshop,  60 minutes in length from 6PM-7PM will focus on public relations techniques.

Workshop 1 is Thursday, May 11, 2006; and

Workshop 2 is Thursday, May 18, 2006, with Phil Andrews of PA Public Relations.

Workshop 3 is Thursday, May 25, 2006.

With over 15 years of fundraising and public relations experience, including corporate, entertainment, and non profit, Taylor Bass, has worked with A-List recording artist, and secured coverage in several major publications including Time, Ebony, Vanity Fair and Essence Magazine.

She is a rising motivational speaker who has spoken at St. John’s University, Columbia University, The Learning Annex, NYU and most recently at the University of Texas’  First Annual Minority Symposium.
