Business Executives’ Honor

Kim Harris Jones, Vice President Product, Procurement Cost Management
Finance – Chrysler Group, was honored with this year’s Peter C. Thorp
Corporate Leadership Award by The Consortium for Graduate Study in
Management during their 41st Annual Orientation Program and Career
Forum in Indianapolis on June 12.

The Peter C. Thorp Corporate Leadership Award is presented annually to
individuals who have demonstrated evidence of support of MBA
fellowships, leadership as a corporate champion of ethnic diversity,
supporting innovative approaches to solving problems related to equal
employment opportunities and being recognized by peers as a leader and
champion of diversity.

“Chrysler is proud of Kim’s achievements, contributions and outstanding
leadership,” said Nancy Rae – Senior Vice President – Human Resources,
Chrysler Group. “Kim is a true champion of diversity at Chrysler and it
is a great honor to have her accomplishments recognized by an
organization that is committed to continued education and diversity in
the workplace.”    

Harris Jones has been Vice President Product, Procurement Cost
Management Finance – Chrysler Group since May 1, 2006. Prior to this
position, she served as Vice President – Finance.  In this
position, she is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles produced
and sold by the Chrysler Group meet financial requirements, including
cost, investment and profitability, with additional responsibility for
procurement and supply, materials cost management and source planning.
Jones is also responsible for overseeing Engineering, Research and
Development budgets and capital investment strategies. She also serves
on the Board of Directors for DaimlerChrysler’s joint venture in China
– Beijing Benz DaimlerChrysler Corporation.

The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management is the country’s
preeminent organization for promoting diversity and inclusion in
