Rangel Hosts Jobs Fair In The Bronx

In light of a remarkably successful career fair in May at the Riverbank State Park, Congressman Charles B. Rangel is hosting another career fair on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Roberto Clemente State Park Gymnasium (301 West Tremont Avenue, Bronx, New York, 10453).

“Whether you are looking to improve your job qualifications, explore a different profession, find a new career or hire an employee, we are here to help,” Rep. Rangel said. “I’d like to salute all those who haven’t give up in pursuing their dreams and keeping their hopes alive.”

Rangel’s career fair in the previous month attracted over 1,500 job-seekers and representatives from more than 70 of America’s leading businesses. Many attendees left with job leads and new contacts, while participating companies were able to distribute materials.

At the request of his constituents eager to find gainful employment, Rangel has reached out to various companies and non-profit organizations to connect employers to his community. Furthermore, to help his constituents effectively apply and compete for federal jobs, Rangel has organized a jobs webinar offered by Dolores Garcia, US Department of Labor Recruitment Coordinator for the Boston and New York Regions.
