Torres Promoted At Nickelodian

Torres is active in a number of trade organizations. She serves as President of the New York chapter of the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications

 

Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products has recently promoted Sherice Torres to Senior Vice President, Hard Goods. The announcement was made today by Leigh Anne Brodsky, President of Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP), to whom Ms. Torres will continue to report.

As senior Vice President, Hard Goods, Torres, will lead the business development and creative efforts of multiple product categories, including: toys and games; packaged goods; stationery; social expressions; and consumer electronics. She will continue to expand licensing partnerships that support Nickelodeon’s efforts around health and wellness by using Nickelodeon characters to encourage healthy eating habits.

Torres came to Nickelodeon in 1999 as Director of Licensing for Interactive, Home Entertainment, and Consumer Electronics. Prior to joining Nickelodeon, Torres was a consultant with Deloitte & Touche where she did strategic planning and change management across various industries. Torres is active in a number of trade organizations. She serves as President of the New York chapter of the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications – and is also on the New York steering committee for the Network of Executive Women.

In 2006, Torres was honored as one of The Network Journals 25 influential Black woman in business. Torres received a B.A. from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. She currently lives in Baldwin, New York with her husband.
