MALCOLM X  90TH BIRTHDAY  MAY 19, 2015

HARLEM BLACK POWER – SHUT EM’ DOWN MARCH AND RALLY

In the spirit of Malcolm X, from Ferguson to Baltimore, Black people take the streets! For the past 25 years the December 12th Movement has led the Black Power March and Rally to shut down all businesses along the 125th Street corridor in Harlem too commemorate the birthday and Legacy of El Hajj Malik El Shabazz, Malcolm X. 

On Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 12:00 PM the Black Power rally will assemble at 125th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd in front of the Harlem State Office Bldg. the march will begin at 1:00 PM sharp. All businesses along 125th Street will be shut down between 1pm and 4pm for a moment of silence in honor of Malcolm X.

A Black Power forum “Civil Rights or Human Rights”, will be held in the Harlem State Office Bldg, Room 912, at 5:00 PM. The forum will include guest speakers and a video showing of “Malcolm X Speaks”.
