“The Ballot or the Bullet?”: Black Voter Registration Drive Launch

The Choice: Plebiscite, Reparations, & Self-Determination

The Black Voter Coalition will launch the Black Voter Registration Drive on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 1pm, at Sistas’ Place 456 Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
The Coalition campaign is building toward an independent Black vote that will take place on November 7 - Black Solidarity Day. The Choice: Plebiscite, Reparations, and Self-Determination.
Don’t settle for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton - the voter registration drive will focus on a write-in “Reparations Now” for president initiative geared toward the November 8 national election. Black people must use the ballot as a weapon in our own interest.
As Malcolm X said in 1964, “The Black man in the Black community has to be re-educated into the science of politics so he will know what politics is supposed to bring him in return. Don't be throwing out any ballots. A ballot is like a bullet. You don't throw your ballots until you see a target, and if that target is not within your reach, keep your ballot in your pocket.”
