CEMOTAP’s JULY FORUM SPEAKERS: FATHER LUCAS AND BOB LAW
Father Lawrence Lucas and Brother Bob Law will bring invaluable information to CEMOTAP’S audience on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 2:P.M.
Father Lucas often described in corporate media as a Black radical theologian is revered in the community as a religious leader who uses his position to support victims of the criminal justice system. He served for many years as chaplain at Rikers Island prison.
He was among the first to denounce the convictions of the Central Park Five as a police orchestrated miscarriage of justice.
Bob Law has been waging a war against the Federal Communication Commission (FCC), to have adequate air space for Black talk radio returned to New York City. Law and his partners have been successful through legal means to stall the completion of the sale of WBLS/WLIB.
Using his knowledge of radio laws and his widespread contacts Bob Law has waged a remarkable battle that the community should know about and support.
