Phenomenal Women Launch Radio Show

Michelle Mitchell’s Phenomenal Women Group launches new show on Blogtalkradio.

The Phenomenal Women Group is spicing up the internet with Blogtalkradio , as they bring information and entertainment for the empowerment of women of color. 

“This show is a tribute to the daily lives and struggles of women of color.  It will serve as an outlet as well as a resource for help, guidance and support for our Sisters,” explains Michelle Mitchell, Founder of The Phenomenal Women Group and Founder and Host of The Phenomenal Women Group Blogtalkradio Show.

The Phenomenal Women Group has been on the move since they hit the ground running in 2004 with 7 members.  Today, The Phenomenal Women Group consists of over 3,000 women throughout the United States, Canada, London, India, Africa and other great nations.

The Phenomenal Women Group Blogtalkradio Show Launched in the beginning of November, 2007 and has been surpassing itself since its inception. 

On December 24th at 9 pm EST, The Phenomenal Women Blogtalkradio with Host Michelle Mitchell, will feature special guest, Francine Lucas-Sinclair, daughter of Frank Lucas, the muse by which the blockbuster movie, American Gangster, starring Denzel Washington was created.  Lucas-Sinclair, Founder of the non-profit organization, Yellow Brick Roads, will talk about her life growing up as a child of incarcerated parents.

Previous shows have been “How To Get Hired, Not Fired,” an enthralling discussion with guest, Lady C, on how to land and keep a job.  Women and men kept the phone lines lit up and the IM busy trying to get information and help with their job search and work related issues.  Lady C did a wonderful job, steering them in the right direction with information on how do ace an interview, possible barriers and how to overcome them, what to wear on an interview, and much more.

The show followed up the next week with “ Environment Earth , what is going on with our environment?”  How can we as African American Women help to make our community aware? What more can be done? Have you seen the signs that our planet is trying to tell us something?

Other shows have included, “Stop doing the Figure Eight: Section 8 –  Is it really there to help or hinder?” Michelle talked with a woman who was a former participant of the section 8 program who got off the program and is now making 6 figures in Corporate American as a single parent.  “Brothers on the DL? Who’s watching us sisters back?” which discussed brothers on the downlow.   Women who encountered men on the DL shared their stories.

Recently, The Phenomenal Women Group’s Blogtalkradio  conducted a one-on-one with Special Guest Host, Attorney, Thomas C. Brooks Jr.  They discussed legal woes and shared information people should know. Mr. Brooks is in great demand as a political and legal commentator, and has appeared on hundreds of television and radio programs.  He  received his law degree from the New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts and Served as the Editor in Chief of the New England Law Review. The Law Office of Thomas C. Brooks, Attorney at Law, provides legal representation for residents of New York State, Counties and Boroughs.

Ms. Salaam recently interviewed Interfaith Minister, Reverend Deborah Singletary from Visions Ministry in Brooklyn, New York on Faith, Work and Business.  Survivors of abuse are encouraged to participate in discussions about how they made it through the dark times and now are thriving.
