Congressman Gregory W. Meeks will lead a contingent of over a dozen elected officials and community leaders to publicly announce their overwhelming support of Leroy Comrie for New York State Senate District 14.

Comrie will stand amongst his peers and colleagues to accept the endorsement of Council Member I. Daneek Miller, Council Member Rory Lancman, Council Member Donovan Richards, Assembly Member Barbara Clark, Assembly Member Nily Rozic, Assembly Member Mike Simanowitz, Assembly Member William Scarborough and Assembly Member David Weprin; Democratic Leaders June Bunch and Martha Taylor;  State Committee Member Dorita Clarke.

Comrie has also received the backing of the Working Families Party, Guy R. Brewer United Democratic Club and Democratic Leader Archie Spigner, The Council of School Supervisor & Administrators, Mason Tenders District Council, 1199 SEIU, Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1056, Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1179, Communications Workers of America District 1, Communications Workers of America Local 1182, United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 1500, Local 338 RWDSU, Mason Tenders District Council, Building and Construction Trades Council, Teamsters Joint Council 16, New York League of Conservation Voters (NYLCV), Metallic Lathers Local 46, The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 3, Queens County Democratic Organization and Rev.
