In 2005, Allianz and NAAIA, a nationwide nonprofit organization that assists African-American insurance professionals with career development and advancement strategies, formed a collaboration to familiarize member agents with Allianz annuities, life insurance products, and long term care insurance products, and to provide relevant financial service education to the black community. The Washington, D.C. workshop is the second in a series of events and activities scheduled for 2006.

Insurance agents, corporate executives and other professionals from across the country gathered recently in Washington, D.C. to participate in a business-building workshop and other activities hosted by Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz) during the National African-American Insurance Association’s (NAAIA) Eastern Regional Conference.

The workshop provided attendees with information on Allianz products and services, and served as a forum to network, foster mentoring and develop strategies that will help agents educate the African-American community on investing, retirement and building financial independence.
