Weeks after the big party for President-elect Barack Obama, Harlem lights up again for a big party November 21 when The Black Star News hosts its annual Excellence awards dinner at the famous Nubian Heritage.

"For those who missed the big bash November 4th when Barack Obama made history here's a great opportunity to celebrate again," says Milton Allimadi, CEO and Publisher of The Black Star News Publishing Co. and Harlem Business News. "We're combining our annual awards dinner into an Obama celebration as well."

The evening will be a Black tie event.

The newspaper also recently revamped its website www.blackstarnews.com with news features such as dedicated bloggers, and Black Star TV, which lets viewers submit their video news to be considered for posting.

Web editor Neanda Salvaterra notes: "Don't forget to turn off pop up blocker!"

The Black Star News' annual Excellence awards dinner honors and celebrates individuals who are exemplary in their respective professions and who inspire young people. "It's important that our young people see achievers that look like them," Allimadi adds. "All of our honorees are individuals that our youngsters should be proud of emulating. I think it's a fantastic thing that this year our annual dinner comes in the wake of Obama's and America's great achievements. We invite everyone to join us for great food and music."
