Continuing Education Open Houses At Medgar Evers College

The Adult and Continuing Education (ACE) Program at Medgar Evers College CUNY will host its fall 2012 Open Houses on Thursday, September 20 and Wednesday, September 26 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. The Open Houses will provide community residents with the opportunity to register for upcoming fall programs.

Adult and Continuing Education offers certificate programs and courses for professional and personal advancement to both working professionals seeking to advance in their current job or to transition to a new one, and those new to the workforce, those seeking to rejoin the workforce, and those simply looking for personal enrichment opportunities.

Fall 2012 offerings include: Wedding & Event Planning, Nonprofit Entrepreneurship, Bookkeeping and Accounting, NY Real Estate Salesperson and Broker Licensing, Food Protection, IRS Registered Tax Preparer Exam Prep, Get Paid To Talk: Making Money With Your Voice, Notary Public, Medical Billing & Coding, CASAC, Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy, EKG, CPR, Patient Care Technician (PCT), PCT Exam Preparation, French/Creole Healthcare Interpreter, Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) Exam Review, Web & Graphic Design, Microsoft Computer Applications, Web Video Production, Website in a Day, Digital Publishing for Apps, E-Magazines and Tablets, Spanish, GED Prep, Writing Skills, Line Dancing, Sewing, Piano, Financial Literacy classes, and more.

New online programs include Technical Communication Essentials, Social Media Communication, Online Information for Blogs, Help and the Web, Technical Publishing and Technical Communication Career Start Up, among others. ACE fall Open Houses will be held at 1534 Bedford Avenue, 2nd Floor, located on the corner of Bedford Avenue and Eastern Parkway next to the B-49 bus line and one block from the Franklin Avenue subway station (2,3,4,5, S). Accepted forms of payment at the Open House include credit and debit cards.

Individuals purchasing classes at Open House are eligible to receive 10% off tuition on select courses; discounts cannot be combined with other offers. Cash and money order payments will be accepted only at the Bursar’s Office. Personal checks are not accepted.
