This year’s celebration took place at the Brooklyn Job Corps Academy on Dekalb Avenue in Brooklyn, New York

Congressman Ed Towns’ holiday parties always equal family gatherings as friends old and new come together to celebrate victories past, present and yet to come, Towns style.  This year’s bash took place at the Brooklyn Job Corps Academy on Dekalb Avenue in Brooklyn, New York and keeping with tradition, few seats in the house remained occupied as everyone stayed on their feet, jamming to ol’ school faves, spicy salsa rhythms and Caribbean beats.  Prominent business owners, elected officials and supporters all came together on one accord – to connect or reconnect and celebrate the successes of the year while enjoying good food, great music and plenty of fun.

Guests included Senator, John Sampson, (D-BK), Senator Kevin Parker (D-BK), Congresswoman, Nydia Velasquez (D-NY) , Brooklyn business icon, Sam Dunston, President of National Allotment Insurance Agency (NAIA) and Dekalb Funeral Services and VP son, Pernon Dunston, Helen Wells, Esq., Cora Austin, President of Lindsay Park, Community Advocate and co-Founder of the United Community Council, Tony Herbert, co-Founder of the United Community Council, Royston Antoine, Urban Community Council, Adrian Straker, Brooklyn Borough President’s office and Member of the UCC Steering Committee, LDC Administrator, Winchester Key, members of the Women’s Congressional Black Caucus, and many more.

DeCosta Headley, CEO of Diversified Inch By Inch Inc., took no prisoners on the dance floor as he unleashed his saucy swagger, Salsa style; Tony Herbert rocked the mic as DJ Lance kept it live on the ones and twos. Mr. Towns remains a most gracious host.

Everyone had a blast.
