Dear Friend and Comrade,

The transformation of WBAI continues apace following thetakeover of 2009.

The acceptance of corporate funding; the delivery of more than $60,000 over a six month period going into the already inflated coffers

of Gary Null; the elimination of respected community voices; the decimation ofWakeup Call; the replacement of authentic community based producers withprimarily white males from throughout the European Diaspora; the crushing ofthe staff union; the distribution of Steve Brown’s professionally packaged lies and distortions about present conditions at WBAI; the continued use of a gag rule to stifle all dissent keepingthe listeners in the dark and the cover-up of the severe financial problemsconfronting WBAI and the Pacifica Foundation are but a fraction of the issuesthat are going unmentioned and unresolved in this post-coup period.

While I amfirmly in support of and continue to be active in attempts to gather anddisseminate information about the unspoken negative effects of the takeover ofWBAI I have an announcement that you might find interesting.
