The late Rev. James E. Davis, New York City Councilman for Brooklyn, NY, made his transition on July 23, 2003. He was a very active community relations police officer concerned about everyone in his community and abroad.

In 1990 he founded "Love Yourself Stop the Violence" to bring all people together for the sake of their community to fight against violence, drugs and poverty. He gave his all for peace. Davis was a powerful speaker and spiritually enriched he commanded everyone's attention as he spoke very gracefully to millions of people around the world, and at the same time he taught his younger brother to do the same.
