For decades, Mr. Allimadi has been a front line General, fighting for the
human rights and social justice of African, African American, Caribbean
and all people of color. His relentless coverage of Barack Obama,
together with his hard-hitting, no holds barred writing team and staff
introduced and educated the world about Obama, long before anyone even
knew the name, playing a highly significant role in the realization the
election of our first African American President, Barack Obama.
Mr. Allimadi’s passion for community-based and investigative news
reporting took him to the legendary City Sun, an African American
weekly newspaper published by the late Andrew Cooper, who also served
as a mentor. At the City Sun, Allimadi regularly reported on and
exposed corporate and local government corruption, police brutality as
well as civil injustices, developing a reputation as hard-nosed
reporter. In late 1996, The City Sun closed as a result of Cooper’s
failing health conditions. Allimadi vowed to continue the legacy of The
City Sun.
Milton Allimadi received his training at Columbia University’s
world-renowned Graduate School of Journalism. After brief stints at the
Journal of Commerce and The Wall Street Journal, Allimadi reported for
The New York Times as a metro news stringer. It was at the country’s
paper of record he gained invaluable experience as a reporter.

About Gil Noble and “Like It Is”
He is the producer and host of New York City television station
WABC-TV’s weekly public affairs series, Like It Is, which focuses
primarily on issues concerning African Americans and those within the
African Diaspora. His work as a journalist endeavors to bring to light
the struggle of African Americans for advancement. Mr. Noble is known
for his serious, consistently high quality discussions and programming,
conveying an African-American perspective on current and past events.
Noble joined WABC in July, 1967 as a reporter, and starting in January,
1968 became an anchor of its Saturday and Sunday night newscasts. He
first became host of Like It Is a few months prior to the re-branding
of the station’s newscasts as Eyewitness News in November, 1968. In
addition, he was an occasional interviewer on some of WABC’s other
public affairs shows, such as Eyewitness Exclusive. From 1986 onwards,
Noble has concentrated exclusively on Like It Is.
