Who’s Judas? Be The Judge

After New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson endorsed Presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama last week over Senator Hillary Clinton, her acolyte James Carville referred to the governor as “Judas.”

Not surprising to anyone, coming from the Clinton camp. Very befitting of the Clintons.

Richardson, former United Nations ambassador under Bill Clinton and former Energy secretary, had declared for Obama saying while he had much admiration for the Clintons, he believed Obama would be the better candidate. The governor said Obama would unite the party and be a formidable candidate against Republican candidate John McCain in the general election.

Moreover, Richardson said, it was time for the divisive rhetoric being used in the Democratic primaries –almost all initiated by the Clintons– to come to an end otherwise the Party would cannibalize itself and cede the White House to McCain.

What does Richardson get for his courageous and selfless act? Demonized as the ultimate betrayer–Judas.

The slur is a well-calculated hit meant to intimidate other super delegates from stepping forward to endorse Obama. It’s a verbal hit job; politic’s version of a Mafia pre-emptive strike.

The Carville insult came a few days after intern-molester Bill Clinton all but labeled Barack Obama an “intruder” and a traitor. For weeks the Clinton campaign had been sending not-too-subtle messages that Obama might be a Muslim; a Manchurian candidate, in our midst, who, if granted the presidency, could unleash Al Oaeda cells now lying dormant all over these United States.

Draft dodger Bill Clinton had been addressing an audience of veterans when he said: “I think it would be a great thing if we had an election year where you had two people who loved this country and were devoted to the interest of this country. And people could actually ask themselves who is right on these issues, instead of all this other stuff that always seems to intrude itself on our politics.”

Well, who said we don’t have such two candidates? Bill Clinton; in the above remarks.

Clearly, Clinton was not referring to his wife, Candidate Hillary Clinton. He also was not referring to John McCain, whom he had just praised, and who Senator Hillary Clinton previously informed the public passed the commander-in-chief test, unlike fellow Democrat Senator Obama.

What can we say? Not much. These ugly episodes speak loudly.

Very despicable people. Very, very despicable.
