Coaches Vs. Racism (CVR) – the national nonprofit leading the charge to end systemic racism in sports – is launching the first-ever HBCU Roundball Experience this November in Washington DC.

The unique series brings Big 10 schools, major Universities and HBCU teams together for high-profile competitions designed to amplify awareness of incredible athletic talent from both schools, placing an emphasis on HBCUs who traditionally lack resources and equipment and are routinely overlooked by professional talent scouts.

The first game pits the University of Michigan Wolverines against Prairie View A&M University Panthers at the Entertainment and Sports Arena (ESA) in Washington, DC., on Saturday, November 13, 2021.

The weekend of events is slated to include:

  • Emotional Fitness panel: Emotional fitness expert and family therapist Winston Bell and social entrepreneur John Bailey will lead an impactful discussion for the local community on Friday, November 12.
  • Tour of National Museum of African American History and Culture: All players and coaches from University of Michigan and Prairie View A&M University will visit the museum on Friday, November 12.
  • University of Michigan shoot around: Practice session slated for Friday, November 12; Coach Howard and select players will potentially be available for short on-site interviews.
  • University of Michigan vs. Prairie View A&M: Tip off scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, November 13 at ESA.

Post-game press conference: Both coaches and key players will be available for interviews.
