To answer the question whether Tom Brady will win a sixth ring and Immortality–until another super quarterback emerges–the Patriots will have to first make Super Bowl LIV in Miami in February.
So far the team is at the right pace. Yet, last year the New England Patriots went into the Super Bowl as 4-and-a-half point favorites to beat the Philadelphia Eagles but were stunned 41-33. Plenty of folks are already preparing for the big game by gambling online and placing bets at the top sportsbooks.

The victory earned Philadelphia its first Super Bowl and denied the Patriots a chance to win its sixth ring. New England is at a sizziling pace this year and it shouldn’t be a suprise if the team makes it to the 2019-2020 Super Bowl led by its 40-something quarterback, Brady, who seems to get better with age like fine wine.

Last year the Patriots ended the season with an 11-5 record. So far this year the team has an impressive 9-1 record. While the regular season is a good proxy of a team’s chances of winning the Super Bowl, it’s not infallible. The Eagles ended last year’s season with a 9-7 record before winning the most important game of the year. This year the defending champion has a 5-5 record and trails the Dallas Cowboys which has a 6-4 record. Of course several teams with non-stellar records by the end of the season have ended up winning the Super Bowl, including the 1988 San Francisco 49ers (10-6, 62%) or the 2010 Green Bay Packers who also had a 10-6.

Still, a good record signifies good play and sets up a winning momentum going into the playoffs. Its superb record must be a big motivating factor for the Patriots and Brady to come back and win it all next February. The Patriots are tied with the San Francisco 49ers at 9-1 on top of a league with 32 teams.

The top 14 teams have the following records. The Patriots (9-1); the 49ers (9÷1); Baltimore Ravens (8-2); Green Bay Packers (8-2); New Orleans Saints (8-2); Seattle Seahawks (8-2); Minnesota Vikings (8-3); Buffalo Bills (7-3); the Texans (7-4); Kansas City Chiefs (7-4); Dallas Cowboys (6-4); Rams (6-4) ; Raiders (6-4) ; and the Colts (6-5).

Any one of these 14 teams, with winning records at this stage of the season could emerge as Super Bowl champions three months from now. But with six games left, even teams that don’t currently have winning records could produce the next champion. This lineup includes: the Carolina Panthers (5-5); the Eagles (5-5); Pittsburgh Steelers (5-5); and the Titans (5-5). Will any one of these teams put together a series of unbroken wins and be propelled by the momentum to Super Bowl victory? Or will the winner emerge from one of the top 10 teams, the ones with the elite record?

So, will Brady return to put another stamp on his already great legacy by claiming a sixth ring? There are many teams and players out there who want the Super Bowl trophy and rings for themselves, including the 8-2 Baltimore Ravens, which is the only team to beat the Patriots so far this season.

The chances are good for many teams. That’s what makes football a beautiful game.
