The trial for a man charged in the shooting death of a lawyer has entered its second week. Theodore Edgecomb, 32, of Milwaukee, was charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the September 2020 of killing Jason Cleereman.
Prosecutors said Edgecomb shot Cleereman, 54, in the head after a suspected road rage incident on the Holton Street Bridge.
Edgecomb claims he acted in self defense.
The state rested its case about 10:30 a.m. Monday.
The defense will begin presenting its case when the trial resumes after a short break.
Edgecomb was expected to take the stand in his own defense Tuesday morning. Read more.
