Let's Save Our Children

I hope and pray someone gets a clue that we have to stop this nonsense and head in a different direction and demand parents to be more participants for their children. When they are dead or in jail it's too late and the voices seem to get softer and softer.

[Commentary]

I have watched over the years at how this country conducts its business and I am astounded at the hostility directed at our youth.

It's appalling to see grown people attack and disgrace and demean our children without blinking an eye. These are supposed to be educators not people who harass or hurt our children just because our children are brown.

I'm the mother of two son's and they are grown and living their lives productively and I am very proud of that. I did my job as a mother by being involved with my children's activities and watched their behavior and taught them right from wrong.

I wanted to raise good citizens and gentlemen, someone to be proud of and to be educated. When one does go to school our school system automatically is racist from the minute our children enter the doors.

My question to you is this. Isn't it about time that the Black community stop trying to keep our children in these schools and start our own? The system does not work and our children are ending up in jail and not being taught properly, it's obvious this is not working. Why isn't the leadership of the Black race seeing the spiraling of our children and help stop it? My God what are we so afraid of to help ourselves and protect our children and give them a good start?

I can't blame everything on the white man but I can recognize what he is doing to our communities and our children without a doubt. But I don't see us demanding better schools or books or teachers. We have a voice in this country and it seems to me we are not using it very well.

I hope and pray someone gets a clue that we have to stop this nonsense and head in a different direction and demand parents to be more participants for their children. When they are dead or in jail it's too late and the voices seem to get softer and softer.
Let's do something that makes sense and stop the nonsense before it's too late. Or is it?
