Relationship Counselor Shares Reflections On Juneteenth Holiday 2022

In a recent op-ed piece for The NJ.com, relationship counselor Chris A. Matthews shared with readers his reflections on the past Juneteenth holiday.

Starting with the question, “When will Black people be liberated from the generational effects of slavery?” - Matthews addresses the need for people of color to love and heal themselves in order to thrive and grow -"open up to heal up".

Matthews is a licensed marriage and family therapist, (LMFT), licensed clinical addiction specialist, (LCAS), certified clinical supervisor (CCS) and approved supervisor for the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
