Deardra Shuler is the Entertainment Editor of Black Star News.  She also hosts her own show "Topically Yours" on the BlakeRadio Network, Rainbow Soul. She has produced concerts in Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, and Carnegie Hall and is the the author of a short story that is featured in Arielle Ford’s book “Mystical Souvenirs.” Deardra has interviewed people of note, celebrities, reviewed plays, books, art, etc., as part of her entertainment beat. Ms. Shuler aided the “Beyond the Tears” 2007 Humanitarian Awards Show at the Apollo Theatre which honored Winnie Mandela. She has had a long career in publishing as the former Editor of several New York minority newspapers. Deardra is a member of the National Congress of Black Women, A Circle of Sisters, African American Women in Cinema, and the National Black Journalist Association.  She is also the Former PR Chairman of FESPACO Film Festival in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso and Program Manager and producer of other shows on the BlakeRadio Network.
