Founder and CEO of Flyght Academy and The Wright Way Foundation Chris Wright is proud to announce The Wright Way Foundation is partnering with the nation's first private Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Wilberforce University to launch both an educational and career pathway initiative for future and current HBCU students from the Dayton area, providing scholarships for high school and college students interested in pursuing sports management, sports medicine, visual arts, and media, and or entrepreneurship at an HBCU.

Chris Wright states:

"As a pro player who's experienced and learned a lot in life through basketball, I feel it's my job to be hands-on in leading the youth and giving back to my city. I'm incredibly blessed to be in this position to collaborate with the nation's first private HBCU, right here in the Dayton area."

In addition to providing scholarships to the University, Chris Wright is partnering with Wilberforce University to be the hosting facility for World of Champions Basketball Tournament tryouts. The Wright Way Foundation 501(c)(3) will fund two youth basketball teams (one girl team, one boy team) ages 16-17 years old to participate in this experience. Participants will be given the chance to travel to Europe to compete and play against some of the best players in Lausanne, Switzerland, during the Summer of 2021.

"The Wright Way Foundation will now be able to give kids from all over Ohio an opportunity to learn the history in our city. Our partnership with Wilberforce University will allow us to continue to explore scholarship opportunities, academic assistance, and career pathway programs for future HBCU students beginning in 2021. I'm excited to bring pride to the youth of my city and help them grow as student-athletes and young professionals."
