The following announcement was sent out by NYC Health Department regarding the relocation of vaccine hubs at Department of Education facilities:

As more students return to school, vaccine hubs located in Department of Education facilities will be relocated or consolidated, and others will operate on a modified schedule in the coming weeks.

New Yorkers who have appointments will be automatically rescheduled and notified of the change via text, call, and email. If they mistakenly still go to the original site, they will be redirected by staff on site. For New Yorkers 65-and-older, transportation will be available.

Every effort will be made to reschedule people for the same day/time at the new location. If the rescheduled time does not work for the eligible individual, they can reschedule for an alternative time.

New Yorkers who have not yet scheduled appointments will be able to select a site from among the hundreds of vaccination locations opened in recent weeks. Additionally, pharmacies began serving New Yorkers with eligible underlying conditions as well as people 60-years and older and teachers/child care workers.

Sites being relocated this week include the following:

  • Bronx Morris Academy for Collaborative Studies at 1100 Boston Road, Bronx, relocated to West Bronx Gymnasium 1527 Jessup Avenue Bronx 4/1/21
  • Brooklyn Science Skills Center 49 Flatbush Avenue Extension, Brooklyn relocated to City Point 445 Albee Square West Brooklyn 4/1/21

Health Department sites located outside of schools, such as the Worth St location in Manhattan, Corona Clinic in Queens, the East Harlem Neighborhood Health Action Center, and others, will continue their normal operations.

Capacity will be expanded at other sites within the borough, where possible, to accommodate any increased demand due to these modifications.

We will continue to communicate any changes as they arise or updated information.
