TENNIS CHAMPION AGASSI WILL CELEBRATE OPENING OF NEW FACILITY FOR BRONX’S GRAND CONCOURSE ACADEMY

This beautiful new campus will serve as the first permanent home of Grand Concourse Academy Charter School, growing to serve nearly 800 students in grades K-8 at maturity. The school was founded in 2004 and has demonstrated academic excellence for students in the Soundview neighborhood of the Bronx.

Tennis champion Andre Agassi and Turner Impact Capital CEO Bobby Turner, along with New York City Councilmember Vanessa Gibson, will formally celebrate the stunning 50,000-square-foot home of Grand Concourse Academy Charter School, designed by award-winning architecture firm LUBRANO CIAVARRA.

On Thursday, October 24, 2019, at 9:30 a.m. there will be a media tour of the school and a classroom visit with Andre Agassi, followed by remarks from Andre Agassi, Bobby Turner, and Councilmember Vanessa L. Gibson, as well as an official ribbon-cutting. The media tour of the new campus with Andre Agassi leaves promptly at 9:45 a.m. followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Grand Concourse Academy Charter School is located at 625 Bolton Ave., Bronx, NY 10473.

The 3-story, 50,000-square-foot school building includes a state-of-the-art science lab, outdoor amphitheater, dedicated art room, technology room, and more. It was designed by the award-winning, Brooklyn-based firm LUBRANO CIAVARRA. Learn more at www.gcacs.org.
