Our Model Of The Day

Where She's From: Dyanna Crane, was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. "The most important thing I learned from my parents is to just be myself," she tells The Black Star News.

Dyanna obtained her MBA from American Intercontinental University with a focus on Management. "At the beginning of January 2007 I started modeling and really focusing on rebuilding my portfolio as well," she says. "At this point I feel that my modeling career is in its growing stages.  I am at the point where I am getting contacted for jobs, which is a great thing.

However, I want to pursue modeling as a full time career. Honestly, I see myself becoming a brand name. My ultimate goal is to end up in the top beauty and print ads."
"Some challenges I’ve run into is learning who's scamming you and who isn’t," she continues. "I really am thankful for having the business sense to know how to distinguish the two. I’ve learned to do my research before accepting a job."
Where She's At: Dyanna's recent work includes two album covers for “Tha Vill” and Candyman. She was also recently interviewed for “Wifey Material Clothing Line” and her entrepreneurial quest continues to thrive. "Last year I became a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated and recently started my own business in Las Vegas specializing in product development for new inventions," she says.

"In the modeling industry, I believe you will gain more respect for yourself by being smart and working hard along with having great looks," Dyanna says, offering tips to other young aspirants. "Photographers, stylists--they all want to see beautiful women who have an education and can hold a conversation as well.  At the end of the day, the modeling business is just that, a business. You have to be able to stand on your own two feet."

So how does this leggy beauty prepare to step outside? "This one is easy," she says. "I love Guess clothing so much I should be the next spokes model. My second favorite place to shop is the Gap, since I have long legs their clothes are easy to find and fit great. My favorite makeup is Bare Essentials because it’s so easy to put on and looks very natural."
