Where She’s From: Eighteen-year-old Imari Wilson is having the time of her life.

She’s had the opportunity to grow up in the heart of the fashion capital, New York City—providing her with background and nurturing in a great industry.  She attends college at BMCC, majoring in journalism. Her plans are to become a print journalist and eventually begin her own publication and magazine.
 
Where She’s At: This summer, Imari served as a model for the company, Fitted by the Best. She is featured as one of their summer “looks” and currently is working to build her own portfolio. As she develops her natural talent for writing, she enjoys utilizing her down time by modeling. Imari believes that by working with her God given talents she will be able to serve as a not only a physical model but a role model to those who are trying to follow their dreams.

Fitted by the Best, is a retail clothing store that has the best of both worlds—great new designers, amazing in-house stylists and personal shoppers. In addition, the photographers and models used by the company are new and upcoming, looking to make their mark in the fashion industry. The company’s retail store and personal shopping services are available 7 days a week, Monday to Saturday, 11 am to 7 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

One of the owners has been educated in fashion design, fashion merchandising and cosmetology. She took these ideas and collaborated with a friend who was able to financially make her dreams come true. Being a smart businessperson, he was looking for an opportunity to make a very wise investment.
