Where She’s From: Uldouz Gharehchaei—her name means “star over black river”—was born in Teheran, Iran and moved with her family to Uppsala, Sweden when she was five, and at age nine moved to Stockholm.
“My mom is book smart and my dad is street smart, I learned the best of both worlds,” the lovely model, entrepreneur and intellectual tells The Black Star News. “My mom always told me that education is the key to success and my dad taught me how to not fall off of the horse on my way to the top and to always stay aware.”
Uldouz went to Stockholm University, Stockholm, in Sweden, and later San Diego State University, here in the U.S., as well as Greystone College, Vancouver, Canada.
“My career is going to bloom into a beautiful flower which is going to be rare to find,” Uldouz says, when asked about what she sees in her future. “I’m not going to stop blooming until my career turns into that beautiful flower.”
Where She’s At: “I had many challenges and struggles in my life and I always seem to come out of them one way or another,” Uldouz says, when asked how she deals with life’s obstacles. “I just learned to put all my trust and my life into Gods hands. God only made me go through hard times in order for me to get to the good times and he knows that I’m a strong woman and that I can handle struggles.”
Uldouz is a heavy weight beyond the world of modeling and entertainment—She has a Masters degree in Marketing and Advertising, a Business Administration diploma, and an Acting diploma. “I am also a model, I’m an artist and an entrepreneur,” she adds.
“Beauty can only go so far, it is the head and the brains behind the beauty that can make you go somewhere,” Uldouz cautions. “It is also very important to be beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. When you get older your beauty is going to fade, that’s why it’s so important to have brainpower as well as a good personality.”
At the end of the day when Uldouz looks back at her life, a sentence that describes her accomplishments: “A self-made successful beautiful and strong woman.”
