Besides being named one People Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People specifically for having the most wanted lips, she’s been voted #1 of VH1’s 100 Hottest Hotties, #1 of E’s Steamiest Southern Stars, #7 of Stuff Magazine’s Sexiest Women in the World, #17 of Maxim Magazine’s Hot 100, to cite a few. BSN: What interested you in making this movie?
BK: The Pink Panther is legendary, but a lot of people my age haven’t ever seen the original. So, I think it’s great to bring it back for my generation, and to expose them to where that theme song which still sounds so modern and that legendary image of a pink cat came from. It’s great to be a part of that, because it’s history.

BSN: What was it like having an opportunity to work with Steve Martin?
BK: It was exciting, since I never imagined I would be in a film with Steve Martin. I was a little star struck, because I grew up watching his movies.

BSN: Tell me a little about your character?
BK: I play Xania. She is an international superstar.

BSN: Right up your alley.
BK: It was fun and easy, very natural for me.

BSN: What did you enjoy most about the role?
BK: Definitely one of the best things about her was the clothes. She was so fabulous and always on top of the fashion, walking down the street in her big hat with her Hermes bag. Also, I got to do a little flirting with Steve and I found it really difficult to stay in character because he’s so funny, especially with that accent. But Xania tried to use her sexuality to get herself out of different situations.

BSN: Why did you pick Hype Williams to direct the music video for ‘Check on It your hit song which is on The Pink Panther soundtrack?
BK: We only had 12 hours, so I wanted to work with somebody that I knew could get it. We just collaborated together, went through tear sheets, and we decided to do everything in Pink.

BSN: I see you mixed in some scenes from the movie, too.
BK: The footage all kind of fell in there. It all worked out. We got nine different looks in 12 hours, which I don’t think has ever happened in the history of a video.
