Ahmad Jamal--pianist, composer, NEA Jazz Master, and 2007 recipient of the Kennedy Center's Living Jazz Legend Award--performs with his own group featuring bassist Reginald Veal, drummer Herlin Riley, and percussionist Manolo Badrena. Pianist and Kennedy Center Artistic Advisor for Jazz Jason Moran will provide an opening set on solo piano.

Ahmad Jamal's latest recording, Saturday Morning, was released September 2013; his last recording, Blue Moon, was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Album in 2012.
