MSG Entertainment and The Bowery Presents announced today that Aretha Franklin, the “Queen of Soul,” will play Radio City Music Hall on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 8:00PM and Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 8:00PM of Martin Luther King Jr. weekend.

Tickets go on sale Friday, December 6, 2013 at 11:00AM.

For nearly five decades, Aretha Franklin has dominated the music charts and has performed live to millions of people. Franklin is known for being one of the most influential voices in American music with a repertoire that spans pop, soul, jazz, rock, blues and gospel. In 2009, Franklin was named the #1 Vocalist of All Time by Rolling Stone magazine.

Aretha Franklin has received numerous awards celebrating her achievements, such as 17 Grammy Awards, including Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for eight consecutive years, a Grammy Legend Award, and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award; five American Music Awards; four NAACP Image Awards; and a Kennedy Center Honor. In 1987, Aretha Franklin became the first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster Charge By Phone (1-866-858-0008) and all Ticketmaster Outlets.

Tickets will also be available in person at MSG, Radio City Music Hall and the Beacon Theatre Box Offices on Saturday, December 7, 2013.
